Weekend outing

Team Rooster Booster are off to the 'Classic bike show' at Stafford this weekend, looking forwards to meeting a few of our key contributors and maybe some potential sponsors. The best thing for me to do is leave all my money at home, don't want to get tempted into buying another project at the moment.

Engine 2

A trip out last weekend saw us secure our second engine, another beauty from 1953. We did get to hear this one running, it's definitely ready for a bit of loving from Steve.
It seemed a shame to separate this engine out of what appeared to be a complete bike, but closer inspection shows that there are not any two pieces of this bike that have been previously acquainted.

The beating heart

Engine number one of at least three that will be built, run, developed, tested, and improved some more.

Dr.Steve prepares the patient for open-heart surgery, ready to apply his meticulous skills to make it better than new.

This particular engine will be celebrating its 60th birthday next year, we all hope it will be a good one!

Development Bike

With Steve hard at work on the engines we will soon need a bike to put them on for running in, testing and further development.

Enter 'Sunshine Chicken' a bike with a story of its own....first purchased by my mother in the 70's, sold to a Mr. Ashton in the 80's and purchased back by me in 1995 having stood out in his garden for over 10 years.

I need a few bits for the carb and an oil seal, then it will be off to get a MOT......fingers crossed.
