Creating a monster

What have I done? My poor son, destined to a future of dirty hands and constantly saving stuff from skips to give them a second life. Although I think I'm more concerned about his blog than his work on the bike!

Rolf Harris!

For those of age...can you tell what it is yet?

That is the headstock of the 'special', a frame/artistic creation is all set to grow from this small beginning, I certainly hope Steve is suitably excited about the imminent arrival of his baby.

Boot of Booty

The land mark decision to change engine resulted in another visit to Manchester, this cumulated in a car boot full of engine bits. Just what Dr. Steve ordered, enough 55mm gear to build the engines of his dreams. Not only that, when we finish our adventures we are going to have such a collection of British biking memorabilia we will need to open a shop.

Crankier

Steves latest creation, he's gone heavy duty now! a practice run on steel....got to get it right as we have been very generously donated a big log of EN40B to make a few cranks from. Design is almost finalised, there's no room for error and we're looking forward to getting the engines moving.

Friday 13th

Good job we are not superstitious.... visited modified frame yesterday to measure location of fairing. The bike took a tumble and cracked fairing, however still looks good and if you want to knock a bike over in Mals workshop, this is the one to knock over as every other bike is a work of art. After a week of being on some heavy duty medication for a bad back, felt like light relief for Steve and I to get a chuckle from this slight misfortune. Now looking for a slightly more rigid fairing.
