Very Special Frame

The template that was made for the frame proved that it would be suitable for all of the other components to fit on and in. It also works within the rules for Bonneville speed trials.
So Mal is now in the throws of putting together the actual frame, below are pictures of the tubing in the jig.

 
This is a one off race frame constructed of 4130 high tensile steel.
Duplex cradle design with wraparound toptube arrangement. Sympathetic to 60's racer design.
All tubes 1" dia' x 16swg. Except top - 1.5" x 16swg. Subframe - 7/8" x 16swg.
Frame to be bronze welded.
Headstock bearings taper roller. Swingarm bushes molybdenum nylon.
Geometry - Headstock angle:26 degrees
Trail 3.52
Wheelbase 50"
Ground clearance 9"
